Explanations and appeals
Examination results
Examination results will normally be announced at the Student Web. Examination results shall be available within three weeks from the date of the examination/ submission of examination answer from the candidate, if the deadline is not extended for special reasons. Examination paper sent by post sending to the university college or sensors have an extended deadline of one week.
Explanation of your grade
A candidate has the right to receive an explanation of how the assessment of the exam is done. At oral or practical examination the candidate must submit a request for an explanation immediately after notification of the mark. At other assessments, the student must submit a claim for an explanation within a week after the result was announced, yet never more than three weeks after the result was announced. The examiner can choose whether explanation is given orally or in writing.
Appeal about grades
The candidate may only submit a written complaint about the grading within three weeks from the date of the examination results are announced. If a candidate has submitted a request for explanation of grades or has complained on the exam/ examination/ errors of assessment, the deadline for the appeal, pursuant to this section, begins from the time the candidate has received an explanation or from the date the decision on the appeal is taken. In the case of complaints about the character of group examinations, all group candidates must sign the complaint before it is processed.
Complaints must be submitted in writing and grounds should be part of the appeal. Complaints are to be submitted to the Student Administration at the Sámi University College.
Assessment of oral examination, assessment of practice or other assessments can not be appealed, if the sample is of such a nature that it can not be assessed again.
Complaints about formal examination errors
A candidate has the right to appeal on formal examination errors. The deadline for appeal is three weeks after the candidate is or should have been aware of the conditions in question. The appeal must be submitted in writing and grounds should be part of the appeal. The complaint is submitted to the Student Administration at the Sámi University College.
